Opportunities create artists, and it is essential that institutional theaters provide as many intelligent opportunities as possible because that is how theater artists grow -- in production.
Under the directorship of Paige Evans, LCT3 shows are produced in a third venue (that's the "3" in our name). For the last 3 seasons, that venue has been The Duke on 42nd Street, but coming this Spring, we'll have a whole new space all our own for LCT3 productions.
So what does LCT3 produce? Shows by new playwrights, directors and designers--new ideas in a new space. Starting in 2008, LCT3 has produced 9 new works: CLAY, STUNNING, WHAT ONCE WE FELT, GRACELAND, ON THE LEVEE, THE COWARD, WHEN I COME TO DIE, 4000 MILES, and ALL-AMERICAN.
In sum? LCT3 is about new artists and new audiences. That's where you come in. Join us. "Like" us on Facebook. Follow LCTheater on Twitter. Tell us what you think. And, oh yeah, buy a ticket! All seats are $20 all the time. So you can actually afford to check this out and bring friends.
